Privacy Policy
The short version: this website collects nothing, our applications collect as little as possible, and we have never sold anyone's data.
This policy explains how Bufflehead Software LLC ("Bufflehead Software", "we", "us") handles personal information in connection with this website and the applications we publish. It applies to buffleheadsoftware.com and to every application distributed under our name.
1. Who we are
Bufflehead Software LLC is a limited liability company organized in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, entity number 0015838101. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. Our contact details are in section 10 and on the contact page.
2. This website
This website is a set of static pages. It contains no advertising, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no embedded social media widgets, and no third-party scripts that profile visitors. We do not set cookies, and we do not ask you to consent to any, because there are none to consent to.
The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When it does, your browser requests those font files from Google's servers, and Google receives your IP address as an unavoidable part of that request. Google states it does not use these requests to build advertising profiles. If you prefer to avoid this entirely, a content blocker that blocks fonts.googleapis.com will prevent the request; the site remains fully usable with system fonts.
Our hosting provider maintains standard server logs, which may include IP addresses and requested URLs, for security and operational purposes. We do not use those logs to identify individuals or to track visitors across sessions.
3. Our applications
We build applications on the principle that software should not require personal information it does not need. Concretely, across everything we publish:
- We do not include advertising SDKs.
- We do not include third-party analytics that identify individual users.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We have never done so and will not.
- We do not require an account to use an application unless the application's core function genuinely depends on one.
- Where data can stay on your device, it stays on your device.
Any application that does need to collect or transmit personal information will say so plainly on its App Store listing, in the privacy details Apple requires, and in documentation shipped with the application. That disclosure governs for that application and will be linked from this page.
As of the date of this policy, Bufflehead Software has not released any applications. This section states the standards our applications will be held to, and we will update this page with application-specific disclosures as products are published.
4. Information you send us directly
When you email or call us, we receive whatever you choose to tell us — typically your email address or phone number, and the content of your message. We use it only to answer you and to keep a record of the correspondence. We retain support correspondence for up to two years so that we can follow up on recurring issues, then delete it. We do not add you to any mailing list.
5. Purchases
Applications are sold through the Apple App Store. Apple processes all payments and is the merchant of record. We never see your payment card details, billing address, or full name in connection with a purchase. Apple provides us only aggregate sales reporting. Apple's handling of your information is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not this one.
6. Service providers
We use a small number of third parties to operate the business: a website host, an email provider, a domain registrar, and Apple as our distribution platform. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function. We do not authorize any of them to use your information for their own purposes.
7. Children
Our website and applications are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to our processing of it. Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have these rights under the GDPR; residents of California have comparable rights under the CCPA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
To exercise any of these rights, email us with the subject line Privacy request. We will respond within 30 days. We do not charge a fee, and we will not ask you to create an account in order to make a request. Because we hold very little personal information, in most cases our honest answer will be that we hold nothing beyond our email correspondence with you.
We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
9. International transfers and retention
We are based in the United States, and information you send us is processed there. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was given, or as long as the law requires, and then delete it.

11. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date below and, for any change that materially affects your rights, note what changed. We will not apply a materially less protective policy to information already collected without telling you first.
